Born from a frustration with
carrier pricing.

Steve Ives spent years watching organisations sign five-year leased line contracts, paying inflated monthly fees for bandwidth they could have owned for the cost of a single capital investment.

The maths never made sense to him. A managed circuit costs thousands per month, every month, forever. Dark fibre costs more upfront but pays for itself within three to five years — then delivers unlimited bandwidth for the next two decades at near-zero marginal cost.

So he built a team of specialists. Engineers who understood fibre optic design at a molecular level. Project managers who could route cables under motorways and through city centres without a single day of client downtime. A company that did one thing — dark fibre infrastructure — and did it better than anyone else in the region.

With over 20 years of hands-on experience in fibre optic network design and installation, he brings deep expertise in dark fibre route engineering across data centres, education campuses and enterprise environments. Steve leads every major project personally — from initial survey through to commissioning — and has built a reputation for delivering infrastructure that performs flawlessly for decades. His frustration with carrier pricing models and generic telecoms contractors drove him to build a company focused exclusively on dark fibre, staffed by specialists who share his obsession with precision.
